Sedation is used if the patient:
- has contraindications to local anesthesia;
- there is a strong fear of the procedure;
- expressed vomiting reflex;
- no reaction to local anesthesia.
Medicated sleep is suitable for patients whose blood pressure rises sharply due to anxiety and whose heart rate is disturbed. Sedation is also used during complex procedures that take a long time. For example, removal of several wisdom teeth.
Contraindications to the use of sedation:
- Pregnancy;
- intolerance or hypersensitivity to the drugs used.
